Great Start Regional Child Care Resource Center/4C of the U.P. is a non-profit organization which receives funding from the Early Childhood Investment Corporation, from grants and contributions.

Our Mission

To help parents find licensed childcare, to support and train childcare providers, and to advocate for the highest quality of childcare for parents, employers, and the general public throughout the western and central Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Great Start Regional Child Care Resource Center/4C of the U.P. offers:

  • Information and referrals for child care
  • Information and training for day care providers
  • Resource libraries in several county offices
  • Information on Child Care Enhancement Program (CCEP) for 0-3 year olds
  • Advocacy for Children and Families
